Pros
It is a great company to work for! Mike Ihrig, Melissa, and their family have always been so kind, generous, and caring towards their employees. They treat employees like family, very welcoming, supportive, kind, and yet, very professional. The salary, flexible schedule, bonus, and benefits are great! They have a skill-bridge programs which is amazing as it assists veterans and individuals who are transitioning out of the military or from a different career field, which is very beneficial. The company also supports veterans and other organizations. I am very grateful for this company (MITS) (Mike and his family) as they helped me grow as an individual (personally / career wise). This focus on giving back to the community really sets the company apart and speaks to its values. I’m especially grateful for the trust that was placed in me to manage tasks independently and for the professional growth I experienced. I always gave my best and enjoyed the autonomy and flexibility under the management I worked with for the majority of my time there. I will continue to pray and wish this great company all the best as they continue to grow and bless others as they have mines and my family. Thank you so much MITS for everything!
Cons
The only challenge I encountered occurred near the end of my tenure, during a change in management. The transition process was unclear, and I did not receive a formal briefing or sufficient communication about the new expectations. A sudden shift from remote to on-site work was requested without advance notice, which created difficulties, especially given the lack of immediate childcare options. I communicated openly and professionally, seeking a collaborative solution or possible reassignment, but unfortunately, the situation escalated quickly, and I didn’t feel I had the support or opportunity to be heard during that period. While the final few weeks were difficult, they do not define my overall experience. I remain grateful for my time with MITS, and I sincerely wish the company continued success as they expand and support others as they did for me and my family.
