Pros
Remote, work from home, that's it
Cons
Company has not provided or entertained a pay raise, either COLA-based or merit-based, for its personnel in 4 years. With current rate of inflation, the paycheck we started with is now worth 10-12% less in value. On top of that, they expect you to eat job-related expenses, such as unexpected or undefined trips to other job locations, up to 50-60 miles away, without mileage or time reimbursement or charges. In other words, you are expected to do work-related travel on your dime and your time. If remote access is hindered due to company equipment technical issues, you are told to burn LWOP or PTO, they are not paying for the unscheduled downtime that is incurred due to their technical issues. In over 4 years, not once have they requested or provided an annual performance evaluation. When asked if one could be provided, they have not followed through, as if they have no process in place for that.
