Pros
Co-workers that are in the trenches with you are passionate and want to create great things
Cons
- The CEO and Executive Leadership are either abusive, negligent and or will fire employees for simply getting on their bad side, thus leading to an overall sense of dread and fear as to who is going to get fired next. You can do everything right, but if they just don't like you, they will find a reason to get rid of you eventually. - Executive Leadership is also completely disconnected with what our audience wants, likes, and is really only concerned with what will make them the most money in the immediate future. Projects that would either have a good chance at success are often times snuffed out before it's ever been given a fair chance. - HR is compliant with the abusive behavior of the executive staff, and will often times try to smooth over disputes that employees have with the company, either by stringing them along or deflecting responsibility onto someone else. - Turnover rate is abysmal, employees with actual industry experience and skills leave quickly once they find out there's no way to grow here. - Crucial lead positions often times are given to people with little to no experience, who happen to have just been in the company for a long time, or are personally connected with people in charge.
