Pros

I made some good friends

Cons

Somehow i stayed here for over 4 years, they know how to talk the talk and hook people in. However, that is all it is "talk". They say what they think you want to hear regarding salary, training, benefits...but it will never happen. No salary increase, no salary reviews, no performance reviews, no progression, no training, no pension, no benefits, no sick pay, no support, micro-managed, treated like school children, no mobiles, no personal calls, no home working, do not be away from your desk for too long, do not be a minute late, do not leave a minute early, different rules for management (of course) If your happy to work to the above, then no problem, some employees are settled. However, the rest are constantly unhappy and looking for new jobs, many purposely leaving before probation. If the company chooses to run this way, thats ok but what i disagree with is mis-leading potential employees and bad treatment of current ones.

Pros

I started at this firm in 2006 as a part-time paralegal and this greatly encouraged me to pursue a career in Law after good training and encouragement from management. I returned after graduating and gaining some experience in my chosen carer in 2014. Having worked at the company for a further 2 years I must say that it has been a great experience, hard work and dedication is rewarded and I was able to progress quickly from a Paralegal role to Team manager, I was given extensive management training which assisted me greatly in my role and will aid me in the future. The partners of the firm are very keen to listen and take your suggestions on board with positive outcomes. The social life is fantastic and you really feel that you are a part of a small family here with regular team events and a summer and winter party. Although I will be making a permanent move abroad in September to Dubai, I am very sad to say goodbye to the firm, the clients and all of my colleagues, I have made lifelong friends here and am very grateful for all of the knowledge and experience I have gained whilst working at MTA Solicitors.

Cons

No Gym or shower facilities It would nice to have a television with cup to date news broadcasts and current legislation Temptingly close proximity to Wetherspoons
