Driven Peers, Degradation of Leadership - Project Manager Maas Energy Works Employee Review

Pros

The work at Maas is fulfilling for construction or environmentally focused people. Daryl (CEO) is the most motivated person I have ever met.

Cons

There is too much religion pushed in the work place. Many at the company are not interested in the company for what it does for the environment, but just the bottom line. The culture is not what you would expect for a "green" company. Some in leadership show preferences to men over women, which is concerning. Access to leaders has withered after two recent rounds of hiring. Benefits are a bit lacking in terms of health insurance, and bonuses are capped based on profit share. Little to no diversity in many departments. Scope creep is a common occurrence.

Pros

Amazing Culture and it starts at the top with Daryl and Christiana. If there is a question everyone is there to help. You are empowered to make decisions and make your site or your projects successful and the tools are out there if you are willing to use them. You are there to own your part of the process and there are nothing but amazing, talented hard working individuals that have your back every step of the way. If you are lazy or want to be a clock rider just stay away because this is definitely not the place for you. Everyone in this company is out there to win. If there are any who aren’t I have yet to meet them.

Cons

No company sponsored health insurance but you are given a stipend to purchase your own. More structure needed for new employees to navigate the system. If you are willing you will figure it out but it will take a while to get comfortable. I’m not sure if it really is a con it could just be the initial test to see if you are driven to figure it out.
