Pros
Discounted ice cream, pays slightly higher than minimum wage, some medical reimbursement for full time staff, kitchen and front of house staff are all really cool. Wouldn’t recommend anything more than seasonal work tho.
Cons
Upper management is all fake nice, do not trust any of them. They do not care about any of the staff outside of their bubble. It’s well known that Marcus has a temper and everyone is just supposed to be cool with it ? If he screams in your face you just have to take it or you lose your job. The company pushes the whole “we’re a family” dynamic without any of the follow through. Marcus continually hired a friend of his that was blatantly homophobic/transphobic towards clearly young queer staff members. This same person having multiple complaints placed against them from multiple shop locations. Will fire you for not being a yes man and will change the reason they fired you anytime anyone tries to ask about it. Does the bare minimum of what they legally have to do when letting go of staff. They will literally hire someone to be a rat instead of talking to staff to work out issues. Plays favourites.
