Pros

There are some genuinely good people who work here that make the job more bearable

Cons

I took a look at the other reviews here, and honestly, you can skip the shiny 4- and 5-star ones — they all sound like the same scripted management jargon. The real story is in the 1- and 2-star reviews from people who’ve already left. It’s the same nightmare repeated over and over: verbal abuse as an everyday thing, getting fired after one of management’s childish meltdowns, and grinding incredibly hard for months or even years only to get passed over for promotions you clearly earned. The list just keeps going. I still remember one meltdown where someone in upper management completely lost it over a broken $200 computer monitor — screaming and threatening to fire anyone who knew what happened. Even if you think your manager is in your corner, don’t count on it. They’re either actively contributing to the bullying culture or staying quiet out of fear for their own jobs. Management will smile, and tell you what a great employee you are, and then stab you in the back over the smallest inconvenience. Makse Group is full of double standards and contradictions. When the heating broke in the Denver office and it was freezing, they still made everyone sit there shivering while the bosses worked comfortably from home. One week they say “you’re on the fast track for a promotion,” and the next it’s “let’s pause that for 3-6 months” — right after you’ve poured your heart into the work. They play favorites so obviously it’s ridiculous — some people get invited to every meeting while others on the same team get completely left out. Bottom line: know exactly what you’re walking into. The job starts with a laundry list of big promises that quickly turn into straight-up lies. You’ll deal with verbal abuse, broken commitments, and a revolving door of people quitting or getting fired. There are dozens (probably hundreds) of ex-employees on LinkedIn who will tell you the same story. I’m really glad I got out and found a company that actually values its people and gives real job security. Looking back, this place felt like it had negative job security. Even if you only feel like you have 0.1% security at your current job, it will still feel 50 times more secure than working at Makse Group.

Pros

Strong commitment to client experience. Excels at giving PMs and project teams the tools and autonomy to drive adoption success. Partners closely with clients on outcome focused strategies that make transitions smooth and impactful. Makse Group invests heavily in people, methodology, templates, and client satisfaction metrics, which directly tie into collaborative teams, rapid career opportunities, and regular recognition. Teams are invested in and empowered to build and influence processes, and methodology - promoting the innovation needed to make every project better. Collaborative culture, strong mentorship, and emphasis on empathy-driven consulting make this an outstanding place to advance in the people side of Workday projects.

Cons

Steadfast focus on client outcomes requires nimbleness, collaboration, and innovative problem solving. If you are looking to bring your skills and experience to work as a team to see the positive outcomes of what you are doing and deliver great work for clients, this is an amazing place to be. If you are looking for a run-of-the-mill consulting gig, this won't be the right team for you.

Pros

If you’re considering a tour of duty here, you need the ground truth. It’s not all smoke and mirrors—the checks clear on time and the benefits are exactly what’s written on the tin. If you're lucky enough to land on a stable project with a veteran crew, you might actually experience a "normal" 9-to-5. But those pockets of peace are the exception, not the rule.

Cons

The Culture: Management by Chaos The atmosphere isn't just unprofessional; it’s volatile. The leadership operates with a "Thunderdome" mentality, seemingly finding sport in terminations. You can expect: The Blast Zone: A total absence of professional filters. Screaming and cursing aren't rare occurrences—they’re the local dialect. Zero Loyalty: Everyone is fair game for a verbal thrashing, from internal staff and "disposable" employees to Workday and the clients themselves. Operational Whiplash The internal strategy is essentially "throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks." Policy by Whim: New procedures are rolled out via one-sentence mandates and retracted just as quickly. Human Shields: When an engagement starts sinking, the standard move is to toss more people into the fire and hope for a miracle. The Exit Strategy (Or Lack Thereof) The revolving door at this place is spinning so fast it’s a wonder the building stays upright. A quick scan of LinkedIn will show you a graveyard of short tenures. The Dignity Tax: Most people with self-respect hit the exits the moment they realize the "disposable" nature of the workforce. The Final Act: Don't expect a handshake or a severance package. Involuntary turnover is in the double digits, and if you try to give a standard notice, don't be surprised if you're shown the door immediately. Bottom Line: If you're looking for stability or a professional sanctuary, keep walking. This is a high-stress, low-security environment where "burn and turn" is the primary setting.
