Manning Architects is a great place to work for self-motivated individuals seeking a challenge. Upward mobility within the firm is encouraged and fostered by firm leadership. All of the necessary tools required for an individual to succeed within the profession are provided by the firm. Participation in IDP & ARE testing, LEED certification and AIA/NCIDQ memberships are encouraged and financially supported. I began my career at Manning Architects as an intern right out of school and had the opportunity to work on a number of very prominent projects. I wasn't pigeon-holed into performing menial tasks. I was able to experience the full gamut of architectural practice from schematic design through construction administration. The fact that I have been constantly challenged, while at the same time receiving the support and guidance of firm leadership, has allowed me to gain a significant amount of experience and growth within a relatively short time period. I am now a Senior Architect and a member of the firm leadership team. The influx of young, talented graduate architects has given the culture of the firm a shot in the arm. There is great camaraderie amongst the staff. Although the firm hierarchy isn't quite flat, there is complete access and open dialogue between staff and firm leadership.
