Pros
Will hire anybody (no background checks), flexible schedule for part timers only, working with plants, learning plant care, get to work outside, easy to get promoted to lower mgmt, full time benefits: KP medical insurance, seperate dental and vision, 401K matching, employee discount
Cons
Bonuses based on previous years sales, cannot receive year end bonus until you come back to work the following spring, management has profit based hourly wage so you can take a pay cut if last year wasn't as profitable, lots of favoritism, corporate members are inappropriate with young female staff and nothing happens when its reported, bad employee culture, unsanitary breakroom/restroom conditions, shared public restrooms, cannot get 40 hours a week during Jan-Feb, inconsistent scheduling, mgmt must work every weekend, people encouraged to get into management trainee positions, then stuck at that title and pay wage until a spot opens (someone in management quits), expected to take promotions at other locations- increasing commute time and moving down a paygrade typically, high turnover rate for hourly employees and lower mgmt levels
