Pros

It's a good place to get experience on your resume thanks to high turn over. Possibly a great example of what you don't want? There are, as always, wonderful people here. They're smart, creative, solution driven thinkers that get stifled by greed and control. And since misery loves company - it's great to have cool people to eat, drink, and vent your frustrations with.

Cons

"MG is a grind-house for creative work. The only thing that matters here is money. Every dollar is tracked, every minute of every employee hour timed. Clients who don't pay enough get substandard and shoddy work, even if they don't always know it. But worst of all is the constant presence of the company President, giving input, much of it bad, on every single project and task. It was hard enough to deal with in creative, where trained educated designers were run off one after another because a President who can't open Photoshop or freehand a stick figure has complete creative control. I cant even imagine how project managers deal with his constant negativity, nitpicking and interference." That quote is from a review written in 2015. I wasn't quite sure how to word my thoughts, but this summed it up so well. Things haven't changed in the last 5-6 years - (and the problems within the company run deeper than just this statement)

Media Genesis Response

It’s no small wonder that work and life has greatly changed over this past year. We are fortunate to work in an industry and with employees who can adapt and support each other so well. This is why when we read a ‘review’ that admits it directly copied the sentiment from a review written 6 years ago, it’s hard to truly gauge the authenticity and sincerity. As a smaller company, we also have the privilege of hiring and knowing our employees very well. Here, if this review is sincere, we would welcome this former design employee to reach back out to us directly so we can discuss these issues and hopefully shed some light on how we continue to work with each other, support each other, and as a whole, drive Media Genesis forward. Saying things haven’t changed in ‘5-6 years’ does not only not make sense (given the great impact all work has felt recently), but also lacks an understanding of our current culture.

Pros

I had a great experience doing engaging work on a wide array of projects. The people are great. I loved the culture and outings. Only left because I moved away. Keep up the good work!

Cons

Overwhelming at first as you get to jump in right away but there's a learning curve at any company.

Pros

Co-workers are nice, and that's about it.

Cons

Work is not creative at all, they have no real clients, just a hodge podge of cut and paste jobs. Owners are completely two-faced and dishonest.
