Pros

Some of the team were supportive, but from day one we were given old technology and hardly any support. The office is very modern (downstairs) and the recently refurbished.

Cons

We were told how to dress by senior management, zero support, old laptops, and management had no understanding of new media.

The Media Matters described here does not reflect the company today in Sept 2018. We have a dress down policy in the office; technology replaced, as and when required; appraisal system and open door policy; and a management team that most definitely DOES 'get' new media, it's at the core of our business.

Pros

As a freelancer, I've worked within and for lots of different marketing and PR agencies. I'm aware of what agencies can typically be like. Often very toxic, demanding environments for terrible pay. I've said 'never again!' to working with agencies before. But I couldn't say no to these ladies. Just professional and systematic enough that payment, invoicing and contracts happen with ease, but still personal enough to be able to say your real feelings around and have fun with. A rare gem. We worked on a very big client together, and I felt supported at all times. If I had a personal matter, Dawn completely understood. Amy and Karen were also very welcoming to me and I will miss working with them. I feel like I was pushed to do work at a great quality, and was never blamed or attacked if I made a mistake wrong. I've learned a lot about myself, my work and professionalism, friendliness, standards from working with Media Matters and will take that forward with me in my career! Most of all - they pay well and on time. Very happy.

Cons

Honestly, the hardest thing about working here has been working with Microsoft products when I'm used to Google!
