Pros
Health benefits are good, coworkers throughout the hospital are friendly to one another (not including Administration/Upper Management)
Cons
Below-average pay, if you are an hourly coworker you are capped at your "annual raise" which will be no more then a small fraction of your hourly pay - don't ever expect much - even if you are covering multiple positions since it takes 3-6 months to get someone hired after a position is vacant. POOR MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATION - cannot express that enough as it is noted in multiple departments, from food service to patient care to administration. HR is not coworker friendly at all - they will deflect issues back to "your direct report" even when your direct report refuses to help you. Its like they don't want to actually do their jobs. As a new hire, you're excited because during orientation they talk a lot about "Mercy Values and Charisms"...its a facade. Your duty is to carry those out to patients, but don't expect those values to come into play when it comes to how Mercy treats their employees.
