Pros
Nice people for the most part. Newer facilities, fairly secure as far as layoffs go. I also noticed that the CEO listed below is incorrect, Mercy's CEO is Thomas Mullen.
Cons
Poor senior management. My senior manager was clearly unqualified for the position. In a 5 year period salaried employees got a meager 1 percent raise, yet they are always asking for you to donate to their various construction projects, and raising the cost of your benefits. No incentive to be a high performance employee, as everyone gets the same raise no matter how they perform. You are also expected to put vacations on hold during any big projects. Many departments are grossly understaffed (as are most health care employers these days) which means be prepared to work a lot of unpaid OT. They do nothing to retain the best talent.
