Pros
Flexible schedule but extremely strict
Cons
During my time at Messer I have noticed an extreme decline in the company as a whole, when I first started there was an entire team of experienced and knowledgeable machinists and welders ready to help in anyway you need. However since then every single person with the tribal knowledge needed to perform job duties have either quit or retired leaving an extremely dysfunctional team. Management does not care about employees and when they are interviewing new candidates are extremely racist and do not properly describe the duties required which has caused a very high turnover rate. The engineers have little to no knowledge on how the machines work or the parameters of the welders which causes some blueprints to be almost impossible to make. Overall it is extremely disfunctional, unorganized and you will not be properly compensated monetarily for the things you will have to deal with
