Pros

Great place to work with good benefits. MMMC is a very clean and well kept hospital.

Cons

The on-call pay should be equal for ALL DEPARTMENTS in the hospital. Pay is a little low in comparison with other facilities.

Pros

Coming from a smaller size hospital but big company like Methodist and known high paying hospital in DFW, I needed more shifts. Since MDMC is bigger than my other PRN, I have higher chance of getting shifts because there are more monitoring stations, more staff taking PTOs, higher chance of staff calling out sick and therefore opening the shift, etc.

Cons

More workload and higher census! Almost 50 patients on heart monitor per station.
