Pros

Work life balance, good company culture, Airrosti Benefit. Good place to start out your career, they match up to 5% in retirement for first 10 years.

Cons

Medical benefits for 2025 are awful. I’ve always been on the highest choice plan and continued with that this year. What I normally would’ve paid for $60 copays are now not covered at all, I have to pay $635 out of pocket for just the office visit. And I’m stuck paying highest deduction for medical benefits for a low value insurance. 2025's Total Rewards look attractive initially but they are bad costly services for the employees. Benefits dept is also very lazy and unhelpful. They do not return calls and are rude. Cost of living adjustments do not occur and CEO said it wouldn't during Townhall to not attribute to inflation. Not kidding. I think it's about time to move on from Methodist, the benefits to staying on after 10 years has dwindled. Retirement matching after 10 years only goes up to 6%. Seems they don't care about seniority or length of service as much as recruiting newer talent.

Pros

Coming from a smaller size hospital but big company like Methodist and known high paying hospital in DFW, I needed more shifts. Since MDMC is bigger than my other PRN, I have higher chance of getting shifts because there are more monitoring stations, more staff taking PTOs, higher chance of staff calling out sick and therefore opening the shift, etc.

Cons

More workload and higher census! Almost 50 patients on heart monitor per station.

We're glad to hear that the flexibility and availability of shifts have been a benefit for you. As one of the region's largest health systems, Methodist offers opportunities that can help PRN team members find the schedule that works best for them. We also recognize that higher patient volumes and workload expectations can come with working in a busy, high-acuity environment. Supporting our team members remains a priority, and we continually evaluate our compensation programs and workplace resources to remain competitive and help our employees succeed. Thank you for the important role you play in caring for our patients and for being a valued member of the Methodist family.
