Pros
1. AUTONOMY. Not a buzzword, but an actual cultural reality. If you are entrepreneurial minded and thrive on ownership, making your own schedule and systems, you will thrive.
2. RELAXED. From the unlimited vacation policy to the lunch culture to the dress code to the overall attitude, our workplace proves that pressure is a choice.
3. CHALLENGING. People here are smart, sharp and will not let you get away with much, which is a good thing.
4. FEEL SEEN. It's one thing to have your talents appreciated, it's another thing to have them activated. Metric does both.
5. TEST. The nature of our business is fueled by testing, which means trying stuff, failing, learning, and trying again. The combination of curiosity and grit keeps things exciting.
P.S. We also do fun stuff as a team. Previous jobs made me want to get out of the office as soon as possible and work from home more. Here it's the opposite.
Cons
1. CRITICAL. People with thin skin will struggle here. If you don't know how to accept direct and sometimes difficult feedback (and implement it quickly), you will feel overwhelmed.
2. DISORDERLY. Our office can be a bit of a frat house at times. Not only because it's bro-heavy, but it can be disorganized and hard to find stuff.
