Pros

A healthy clothing stipend and employee discount

Cons

The founders of the company are completely incompetent to be running a business and employing people, despite having an abundance of industry resources and notoriety. Lay offs started the moment I was hired and over a two year period I watched countless people be hired and fired on a whim to the point that there was zero sense of job security no matter how hard you worked. The founder is entitled and lacks all social awareness and generally has a bad reputation in LA for her negative and embarrassing interactions with people. It was heartbreaking to watch so many kind, hard working young women do their best to meet the demands of the ever-changing leadership direction (or lack there of), and never be thanked for their efforts. The money is wildly mismanaged, the clothes are poor quality, and there is no cohesive or intentional vision for the brand whatsoever. If you value your work and mental health, do not consider a role a this company.

Pros

I've worked for the company for over 2+ years now, and I can say without a doubt, this is the best job I've ever had. Working at Miaou has allowed me to learn about so many different aspects of running a fashion business. Have there been challenging moments? OF COURSE, it's a job! I really appreciate how the founders have supported my journey at this company, from starting off at a very junior level to now managing an entire department. It's very simple, show up, do the best work you can do, don't push back, but instead think of every opportunity to learn something new. Once I figured all of that out, my time at Miaou has been incredible. I am so lucky to be surrounded by supportive, creative individuals that think outside the box. To anyone who's interested in working in fashion or starting their own business, this is the place for you. You will learn more than you ever could at a large corporate company doing one focused job. 10/10 would recommend! Come join our team!!

Cons

Sometimes you have to work longer hours (but that would be the same anywhere - it's a job!), and sometimes my responsibilities fall a bit out of my original scope, but again, I think of those moments as opportunities to learn and grow.

Pros

Office snacks and clothing allowance, but that’s about it.

Cons

By far the worst company I’ve ever worked for. Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews here—they’re fake, written by friends and family of the founders. This is a company led by childish, immature, and petty individuals who show zero respect for their employees. Expect to be overworked, burned out, and still be asked to work around the clock with no appreciation or support. The founders hire their friends and family, paying them two to three times the salary of regular employees, and give them all kinds of leeway on deadlines and expectations. Meanwhile, if you're a regular employee, there is absolutely no room for error. They treat you like you're disposable, and one mistake can lead to being dismissed without hesitation. It’s a toxic environment where your value is entirely ignored, and the leadership is far more concerned with their own egos than the people who actually keep the business running. It’s clear that leadership has no real understanding of how to run a business or manage people effectively. Save yourself the stress—this company is a disaster and on the brink of collapse.
