Pros

As long as your supervisor is ok with it, you can work discontinuous 8 hour days and not get fired/laid off.

Cons

Certain groups are blessed and will advance no matter how insignificant and basic their contributions are. Consequently, if you're not in one of those "select" groups, you're DEAD. There is NO recognition if you're not in the "special" groups. No one will review or recognize your contributions however vital they may have been to the design. Upper level management (Most) will blatantly lie to your face with no compunction whatsoever. They should have taken up Diplomatic posts in various US embassies or could think about politics since they're so well suited for it.

Pros

Decent pay, great stock grants and stock purchase plan. You can be at the forefront of memory technology driving today's AI megaboom, and benefit from the high demand (i.e. soaring stock price).

Cons

Little sense of community, lifeless office environment, dead-eyed and overworked employees. "Flexible work arrangements" in name only, as recent policy changes have significantly reduced effectiveness especially if you have a long commute or family life. Too much emphasis on unimportant buzz such as embracing diversity and inclusion is just annoying, but par for the course in today's big tech industry.
