Pros
Good starting pay for fresh graduates. Not bad new hire training system. Structured and good system as a MNC. Ok benefits (AWS, Bonus, meal compensation). Overall not a bad company for fresh to start in engineering field and grow their skills.
Cons
Good for fresh to start and develop, so company is not afraid of losing head counts, so less appreciation to experienced employees at economic down time. And overall company culture is very toxic, not promoting creativity, smart working and collaborations. It needs you to well know how to play politics, to flatter the bosses in order to stand strong here. And because of this, you won't expect senior management promoted from this mind set to be much helpful in your own career development. I have worked in Micron Singapore for enough long, and see many capable and performing people leaving because of this. So the culture become more and more toxic (reference: dead sea effect), yet senior management is still thinking engineers are the 'poisons'. And the employee survey is a joke, I don't understand the meaning of survey if the 'norm' is for everyone to choice 'agree' for all options. It may not be applicable to all the departments within Micron Singapore, there are departments with good bosses cultivating good culture. But that's generally what I see after many years. Micron is still under hiring freeze, so if there are departments still hiring full time during this period, it mind be a red flag as there might be to many people leaving the department so have to open for a position.
