Pros

The clients. The fresh coffee. Clean work areas.

Cons

Rumour mill. Employees talking behind each others backs. Employees complaining and talking very negatively about the owners. Low wages. Negative reenforcement. Improper and incomplete training. No chance for advancement. The culture is negative and Management doesnt enforce the values they have. Employees are abusive or condescending.

Pros

When I was looking for employment, I had 2 offers. One of which was Microquest. I decided to go with Microquest because of the company's culture. At my interview, my soon to be development manager was wearing a Batman t-shirt! I mean, come on....They had me at Batman, Batman. Coming from 13 years with a software company who was a gem of a place and slowly over time taken over by corporate policy by our parent company, I found Microquest to reflect all the good things that money driven corporation is not. What Microquest is - is tight knit group of extreamly dedicated, goofy as heck, fun loving individuals. The management team puts effort into making the environment fun and easygoing. I personally feel I created strong friendships. My dev manager is still texting me to let me know that my Costco size sauerkraut is still on the fridge. I keep telling him to save it for me...he always says ok!

Cons

The floor plan was unconventional and we were on the verge of running out of space all the time. I didn't mind it, but there is not a lot of privacy to be had if you are one who prefers it. Although, they have since moved so it might be different.
