Pros

Most employees tend to stay because of the strong family and work-life balance. The flexibility is a significant benefit, as there is generally no issue with leaving early as long as your work responsibilities are completed.

Cons

Upper management and mid-level management lacked consistency, with leadership styles ranging from excessive micromanagement to little or no oversight at all. The workplace culture often felt comparable to a clique-driven environment, similar to “popular groups” in high school—if leadership favored you, mistakes were overlooked, but if they did not, it was made very clear through their treatment of you. Overall, the organization demonstrated unprofessional behavior, poor communication, and a significant lack of accountability. In general, management practices were ineffective and created a difficult work environment.

Pros

The pay is fair and the benefits are good. You feel great because you're helping people who need it the most.

Cons

Poor leadership. Very disorganized. There is a culture of blame rather than accountability. The CEO has designed a reason not to pay the therapists their full check. She has put a penalty in place if we do not see "enough" clients, though we have no control over who attends their appointments. The CEO fired half of the medical staff because she did not want to pay us. She will say it was due to non-adherence to a recently changed policy, but the truth is, she abruptly changed the policy, knowing that we couldn't adhere to it, which gave her the excuse to fire us. She tried to make us resign so the company wouldn't have to pay unemployment. The bottom line is that the company was losing a massive amount of money for 2+ years, and rather than figure out why we were in the hole, the executives are firing some and penalizing others to save money. The work for the staff left behind gets doubled and tripled. The CEO wouldn't even close the clinics during the January snowstorm, showing no regard for our lives or patients. I would avoid this place. I estimate the state will take over at some point, and then it will be a better place to work (maybe).
