Pros

Everything's great! Just ask the sales people! Lots of opportunity to grow now that all the senior people are leaving.

Cons

DON'T expect me to read all the emails you send me. I get tons of email, I can't read all of them every day. DON'T email me when something's wrong on a project, call me. DON'T worry: it doesn't matter what I tell you on the call, I'll change my mind. DON'T use that tone in your emails. DON'T ask me what tone you're using, you know what tone you're using. DON'T exceed the original estimates in the statement of work. You need to work within them. I know they're right. DON'T get locked into the original estimates in the statement of work. If something needs to be re-estimated, let's change it. We never do fixed bid contracts. The client will understand. DON'T think about the consequences of failing to be a "deep-end swimmer". Not professionally or metaphorically. DON'T wonder why a company that depends on timely invoicing doesn't have an accountant. I DON'T want to hear what happened, we need to focus on how to move forward. Here's the mistakes you made.

Pros

My experience at Mikan has been extremely positive. I began my role at Mikan at a time when the company was recovering from a rough patch (hence the negative reviews). Over the past year, the company has gained a significant amount of momentum. This is the first role I have held where I feel the ideas I express will be taken seriously. I appreciate how receptive the leadership is to my skills and strengths. While I was hired for an inside sales position, I have been given an opportunity to learn other sides of the business. As someone just starting out in my career, I really value being encouraged to branch out and learn as much as I can. Not only have I been exposed to outside sales, I have gotten opportunities to attend major tech conferences and countless lectures and networking events. I love that I get to learn something new every day from the teammates I work with and the challenges I am presented with. I am looking forward to seeing how far I can go with this company!

Cons

- Benefits could be better - I wish we had a few more holidays off
