Pros

Everything's great! Just ask the sales people! Lots of opportunity to grow now that all the senior people are leaving.

Cons

DON'T expect me to read all the emails you send me. I get tons of email, I can't read all of them every day. DON'T email me when something's wrong on a project, call me. DON'T worry: it doesn't matter what I tell you on the call, I'll change my mind. DON'T use that tone in your emails. DON'T ask me what tone you're using, you know what tone you're using. DON'T exceed the original estimates in the statement of work. You need to work within them. I know they're right. DON'T get locked into the original estimates in the statement of work. If something needs to be re-estimated, let's change it. We never do fixed bid contracts. The client will understand. DON'T think about the consequences of failing to be a "deep-end swimmer". Not professionally or metaphorically. DON'T wonder why a company that depends on timely invoicing doesn't have an accountant. I DON'T want to hear what happened, we need to focus on how to move forward. Here's the mistakes you made.

Pros

Experience can be gained if you are a self motivated person that can quickly learn a new skill at the client site. Just don't let the client know.

Cons

Consultants are constantly put in these situations. All of the negative reviews are true. Management must have a glass door account to post the positive reviews.

Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion so that we can reflect on it and think about ways we can adapt and do more to make you and others get the support you need. Through quarterly all-team meetings, happy hours, one-on-one meetings, surveys, and our new feedback portal, we are working hard to seek feedback and connect on a personal level with each consultant. Over the past year, consultant feedback has led to the creation of Mikan Academy, Mikan U, job shadowing for new consultants, the Mikan Culture Club, performance teams, operational changes, added perks, and many other improvements. We are sorry that our efforts are not meeting your expectations and welcome your feedback and involvement in finding the best ways to grow and nurture our team.

Pros

Good place to work for people with little experience as you will get the opportunity to learn.

Cons

The glowing reviews of this company were quite obviously written by internal employees/senior management. Sub-average pay and bad healthcare. Constantly changing organizational structure. Big problems with employee retention, leading to inexperienced consultants and low morale. Hard to stick around when the good consultants getting poached and offered more to move elsewhere. Policies change whenever management thinks they can save a few bucks, despite how it effects employees.
