Pros
Like lots of companies struggling in 2020, Milani has bounced back after a tough pandemic year. There was a change in leadership approach in the last year (new CEO), more open team communication and opportunities for career growth. Improved working culture has become number one, along with work/life balance (summer fridays, hybrid remote work, mental health resources).
The beauty business can be a tough place sometimes and there were some really toxic people creating daily stressors based on their own issues. All have left and that type of environment is not being fed. People actually help each other when they see someone struggling vs gossiping which is nice. Workplaces are never all roses but current Milani leadership tries to include all perspectives when making company decisions. There's no sense that levels are all that important aka if you're more junior, your voice matters just as much. It's a good place to grow your career if you have a healthy perspective and the work ethic to match.
Cons
They have been slow to re-hire positions and diversity could still be improved across the board. Also there are way too many meetings to cover basic things.
