Pros

MindNation has a flexible work environment and a really supportive team. When you’re new, hindi ka mawawala because everyone’s willing to help and guide you. After six months, you also get HMO coverage, plus free access to MindNation’s own mental health benefits, which is a huge plus. In our department, there’s no micromanagement — you’re trusted to do your work, and that makes a big difference. Our boss is also very kind, understanding, and someone you can genuinely trust, which makes the day-to-day workload feel lighter. Sa leaves, dati super luwag, pero recently may konting restrictions na to avoid abuse. Still, okay naman and fair. Overall, it’s a supportive place to work, especially if you value flexibility and a team that actually has your back.

Cons

Now for the downside. I’ve been with the company for two years, and when I asked for a salary increase, I was told that the company is still small and not earning enough yet. I understand that part — but what feels unfair is knowing that another department received an appraisal. It’s hard not to feel undervalued when the cost of living in the Philippines keeps going up and yet there’s no adjustment at all on our end. I can accept that we don’t have government benefits since we’re signed as Independent Contractors, but going two years without a single salary increase feels unreasonable. Every year, we’re given KPIs and goals to meet — which we try our best to deliver — but how about our salaries? Are we just expected to stay on a flat rate forever? And honestly, the amount of reporting and work I handle doesn’t feel aligned with what I receive. It’s disheartening to feel like the effort you put in isn’t reflected or rewarded in any way.

Pros

- Work from home - Flexible time

Cons

- They schedule a lot of meetings. Expect more than 3 meetings a day. Since there are some employees in a different timezone, sometimes there are meetings scheduled at night (between 6-8pm) - I haven’t received my backpay. I emailed my supervisor but did not get any response back. - They don’t have any government mandated benefits (although, I’m not sure if this has changed. Last I heard, this will be available by December) They also don’t provide payslips. The salary will come directly from one of the owners.

Pros

Good teammates and respectful supervisor, I wish they won't let this company exploit them any further

Cons

- Psychologically unsafe for employees - Even if you're qualified and have great experience, you get low pay, no government benefits, and no job security leading to financial stress - Culture has false sense of urgency with daily unnecessary, anxiety-inducing - Surveys and data analysis are unreliable - Micromanagement from someone who’s not my supervisor - Higher management employees see mental health as a source of profit - - So draining to be around people who claim to be 'mental health advocates'
