Pros

The company has grown from a small community to a huge firm, and still retained the communication and family spirit, as well as flexible WFM model. Picking out your schedule is good.

Cons

Pay is low, and the company is struggling to make ends meet. Even after 10+ years, last pay raise was 6 years ago, since then no raises were done in their rates at all. Company is moving towards cheaper international labour under $5 per hour, whereas previously their rates were $9-12 (talking about English support). Also, they are selling LATAM, African and Hindi support to their clients as "global English", without reliable language testing. Clients are leaving very openly dissatisfied with the lack of quality in services that would justify the costs, and lack of competitive prices that would justify lower quality. There are no incentives for doing well available (except for occasional Amazon giftcard), and very little hope for promotion, unless you're willing to work for $3-5/hr. Benefits and support are non existent. The managers are understanding, but company leadership is pushing against it, so the system is becoming more punishing for mods, even needing to change their schedule or having emergencies that prevent them from working. Atmoshpere in the company feels like it is against retaining people by offering any kindness, let alone benefits. This is a quick and temporary job, but please don't count on it as a long term position. This company has proven they will cut their highest performing senior staff, even at the cost of quality, to save a pretty penny.

Pros

I swas on a project where I could select 2 hour blocks of time to work, which was helpful since I had another job also. Management was always nice, I enjoyed working there for the time I did.

Cons

As with any remote customer service phone job, timing the call was crucial to not get behind in notes you needed to add per call
