They passionately brown nose and embrace certain initiatives while fully ignoring meticulous or unglamorous operational work which is still highly critical. These people then form a cartel and are promoted. If you care about such issues, you’ll have to manage way up to resolve them and will not be rewarded for it. No communication across departments due to turf wars. The outcome is that everyone is worse off.
