If you're efficient and manage your work and time wisely, you'll be punished with more work. Lack of support, trust, and protection. Every few days you'll feel as if you're on a cast of a reality TV show and will be axed. Your hard work and contributions to the team will go unnoticed. Stretch assignments will come with high demands but unclear expectations. Speaking up will get you pushed out. If multiple people on your team are promoted and you're not, you're on the chopping block. Managers are not honest nor as transparent as they boast about.
