Pros
- People are wonderful; literally everyone is extremely smart, engaged and hard-working but also warm and fun-loving - Role expectations and paths for growth within the company are clear - The work available at MC is varied and interesting. Regardless of team or tenure, you'll get to interface with lots of leading companies, work on real-world/right-now issues and have plenty of responsibility - No micro-management culture; managers generally trust their employees to execute and encourage them to pitch ideas/ suggestions/ etc. of their own - Hours/ work-life balance are quite tame compared to similar companies, especially in the DC area - DC office is gorgeous and well-located - Solid pay and benefits (the latter could be more robust, though)
Cons
- Organizational change can be frequent, and often is under-communicated about - Limited opportunities for travel & traditional professional development stuff (e.g., conferences, etc.) - Investment in publicity of public-facing projects has declined as of late; the MC name feels like it used to be much more relevant/ talked-about in the media, etc.
