Pros

Some teams are fully remote are most coworkers are genuinely good people. Good work life balance.

Cons

In my opinion, leadership doesn't care about the employees at all. The only thing they care about is the stock price. Given any reason, they will without hesitation cancel 401k matches and annual cost of living raises while at the same time posting record revenue. Here is how my time at Motorola ended: Month 1: After two years of excuses I was told that they had a guaranteed job rotation for me, so I stopped applying externally. Month 2: I was diagnosed with cancer. Month 3: Ten days after my surgery to remove the cancer I was told there was no more job rotation available for me and I was being laid off... There are many many more problems at Motorola that I'm not going to name, but work here at your own risk, you have been warned.

Pros

I highly value the autonomy I am given to manage my own workload, and I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with several of my talented colleagues.

Cons

That independence comes at a cost. The company is incredibly disorganized and siloed. Management will force lateral moves on you without asking; I've ended up balancing four different roles with absolutely no pay increase. Requests for fair compensation compared to the peers I trained were completely ignored. Territories change constantly, but zero training is provided. You are essentially left entirely on your own to figure it out.
