Pros

Doing good work/service and providing great product to our uniformed officers.

Cons

If you want a workplace and company where you can get away with inappropriate relationships and affairs with fellow employees or employees you manage, this is the right place to be. Upper management and executives will turn a blind eye and tell you things will change and just sweep it under the rug. Sadly, nothing is done or ever changed when employees bring it to attention. Employees have been uncomfortable in the workplace due to having to see this inappropriateness almost every day and are affected by the favoritism and lack of manager engagement. When this was happening under WatchGuard, it never got addressed. We were hoping for the better when we became part of the Motorola family.

Motorola Solutions Response

Motorola Solutions has a robust policy that prohibits relationships between a manager and their direct report. We take allegations of inappropriate relationships and conduct very seriously. Employees who wish to report a concern may contact their Human Resources Business Partner. Employees may also raise concerns to the People Connect Team, who can be reached via email at msihrna@motorolasolutions.com or to our EthicsLine. The EthicsLine can be reached online at Ethicsline.mot-solutions.com, via email at ethicsline@motorolasolutions.com, or by phone at 800-5Ethics (800-538-4427).

Pros

I highly value the autonomy I am given to manage my own workload, and I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with several of my talented colleagues.

Cons

That independence comes at a cost. The company is incredibly disorganized and siloed. Management will force lateral moves on you without asking; I've ended up balancing four different roles with absolutely no pay increase. Requests for fair compensation compared to the peers I trained were completely ignored. Territories change constantly, but zero training is provided. You are essentially left entirely on your own to figure it out.
