Pros

Work from home, weekly free lunch (but limited options and low budget).

Cons

Compensation is low and raises are rare. The culture can be discouraging, and some management decisions feel inconsistent. In several cases, hard-working employees were let go while lower-cost workers were retained, and advancement sometimes appeared to rely more on personal connections with leadership than on demonstrated performance. My manager seemed to have joined largely due to a prior relationship with senior leadership, and in my experience struggled with the responsibilities of the role.

Pros

Real career development. I've grown significantly over my tenure here, taking on increasing responsibility across a global scope. That kind of trajectory requires a culture that actually backs its people. Values-driven leadership. Integrity and excellence aren't just wall art here. Leadership consistently models the behavior it expects, which builds real trust across the org. The work is meaningful and complex. This is a company where you're solving hard problems with smart people. If you want to be challenged, you will be. The culture has staying power. Long tenure across the team is common, and it's not by accident. People stay because there's always a next challenge and a next level. Resilience through change. The company has navigated significant transitions while keeping its culture largely intact. That's not easy and speaks to the strength of the foundation.

Cons

Growth and change bring ambiguity. If you need a perfectly structured environment to thrive, that's worth knowing going in. If you lean into it, the upside is real.

Pros

Movable Ink has a phenomenal culture. The people are incredibly nice, helpful, and compassionate. While the changing tech landscape, PE acquisition, and layoffs have definitely chipped away at overall positivity, looking back on my time there, I feel lucky to have been in a supportive environment. You're never made to feel dumb / like you're not doing enough.

Cons

Unfortunately, on the flip side of the coin, I think too much handholding and a lack of self reflection on the part of leadership has led to the detriment of the wider team, especially when it comes to ramping new hires. There has been a lack of enablement and development across teams which drags everyone down. Those who do well come in with great foundations of value selling, they're not learning them at MI anymore.
