Pros
Gained experience in various art styles and teaching methods. Opportunity to work closely with children and support their creative growth.
Cons
Excessive micromanagement, required to stay on video meeting throughout working hours, which takes away our freedom to work independently. Frequent, unnecessary meetings that consume time better spent on core responsibilities. Unrealistic deadlines and constant pressure to rush through tasks. Misleading recruitment: promises made during hiring were not delivered. Toxic work culture: superiors badmouth other staff, which fosters distrust and low morale. Overemphasis on sales targets at the expense of staff well-being. Coaches are blamed and demoralised when students withdraw, even if the reasons are beyond their control. Management lacks empathy toward the emotional toll of handling children with individual needs. Low pay that doesn’t reflect the emotional and physical energy required for the job
