Pros
-If you are new/fresh grad, easy to get hired -Kids and their parents are generally very pleasant and grateful and love the Teachers
Cons
DIRECT TEAM - being hired too easily has its downsides, people objectively unfit for the job (majority of team are trying their best) are in your team and instead of constructive/honest criticism, you will be “punished” for being good at your job by overworking yourselves - when trying to communicate this issue to supervisors, you will be shamed for not being understanding, essentially it will all be your responsibility even though clearly a few bad apples are at fault, issue will never be directly solved by supervisors SUPERVISORS -contradictions in management styles, supervisors disagreeing among themselves -calling the workplace a family when it benefits the company or when you try to draw professional boundaries -using rank and saying you can’t go to the top boss without your supervisor first when it benefits them, which contradicts the previous point WORK ENVIRONMENT -culture of OT pay -you are told to be early even though it is unpaid -if you want to go up the ranks, expected to work as if you already have the higher rank with the same minimal pay to impress the supervisors, then they can consider, no chance of them believing in you based on skill/work ethic or seeing your potential without many months of unpaid OT labour -very bad work life balance
