Cons
- Internal politics are pretty remarkable for such a small company. Often times my clients were easier to deal with than the internal complexities. - Very hierarchical for a small company, senior leadership feels like an 'old boy network' that gatekeeps middle management out. This trickles down to how Directors manage their teams too. There are a few bad eggs in leadership that HR is aware of, but can't do anything about. I knew three people personally during my time there who left because of how one individual in senior leadership treated them. - Salaries are below market average, especially in NYC. Promotions are seen as a necessary evil to be doled out only when it's clear someone is considering leaving, rather than a reward and incentive. Sales roles also aren't commission based. - This has all led to high turnover and a culture of doing the bare minimum except for a select few who carry their team. NYC works out of a WeWork now too.
