Pros

There is parking. There is coffee. Sometimes there is even beer.

Cons

As the title of this review indicates, there's a severe lack of diversity in opinions. Don't be fooled by the few (white) women on the management staff. Minority employees appear to not only have their ideas silenced but also appear to be paid less and passed over for major promotions. If you don't agree with the head honcho or his immediate minions, things will be tough. Gossip is rampant. You will work long, grueling hours for little recognition. If you don't like getting confused for an employee of a similar race and hearing "you all look the same anyway", having to sign a contract to never disclose how much you make to other employees, and getting yelled at often, this is not the place for you. In truth, I would highly discourage anyone from working at NDG. There are a few wonderful people on staff. But even they are a part of the system.

Thank you for sharing your perspective and experiences regarding your time at NDG. We deeply respect feedback from all our current and former employees as it helps us reflect on our company culture and make necessary improvements. To begin, it's essential to address the weighty concerns you've expressed. NDG unequivocally disavows any form of discrimination, be it racial, gender-based, or regarding political affiliations. Our hiring and promotion policies have always been built around skill, individual contributions, and alignment with our agency's mission of serving our clients. We pride ourselves on creating a remote work environment that fosters diversity, not just in each team member’s background but also in thought, experiences, and ideas. We believe that a marketplace of ideas allows our team to serve our clients most effectively. It's essential for us to stress that racism or any form of bias against one's gender or political values is not practiced nor tolerated at NDG. Regarding the regrettable comment you've mentioned – "you all look the same anyway" – this is the first instance we're learning of it. We cannot stress enough that, had this been brought to the attention of any leadership team member or direct supervisor, it would have been immediately addressed. Discrimination on the basis of race is not only against our ethos but is explicitly mentioned in our agency's handbook as grounds for immediate termination. Furthermore, every employee acknowledges, through their signature, our policy against retaliation for those reporting discrimination. To emphasize, we've never received a specific complaint like this; if we had, an investigation would have been launched immediately and discipline would have been enacted swiftly in accordance with our written policies. As for your comments on pay confidentiality, this is a standard clause in many industries. However, this should never be used to cover disparities, and we are committed to conducting regular performance reviews to ensure equitable pay for all roles. NDG has transitioned to being a fully remote agency since early 2020, which was intended to bring flexibility and improved work-life balance for our team members. Our focus remains on serving our clients efficiently, and while we understand the advertising industry can sometimes have demanding hours, our traffic manager is dedicated to ensuring manageable schedules for our team. In conclusion, we genuinely regret the sentiments you've expressed and are committed to introspection and taking actionable steps to ensure that our work environment reflects the values we hold dear. We welcome those reading this review to consider it in context alongside other, more positive reviews shared by current and former team members. We sincerely wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

They offer a remote work environment.

Cons

NDG is a very flawed organization due to our owner and some members of the leadership team. Leadership's lack of flexibility and empathy makes for an extremely difficult culture. If you fail to do exactly what the owner and his right-hand man want, exactly how they want it, or show even the slightest sign of independent thought, you will not last. There is a constant feeling of walking on egg shells when dealing with most of the leadership team. As stated, these problems start at the top. Our CEO/owner is incredibly difficult to work with, has zero patience for anyone, and is quick to blame, demean and even insult our staff. He frequently stalls projects, never follows established processes, and becomes instantly annoyed and hostile the moment someone cannot read his mind. Additionally, there is no collaboration, no innovation, and no willingness to change.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While we don’t share your view of NDG’s culture or leadership, we understand that not every workplace is the right match for every professional. NDG operates at a fast pace and expects a lot from its team — that’s part of what allows us to deliver the level of work our clients depend on. It can be demanding at times, but for people who thrive on challenge and accountability, it’s also deeply rewarding. We’re proud of the environment we’ve built — one grounded in open communication, teamwork, and constant improvement. As a fully remote team of about 30 professionals, collaboration isn’t optional; it’s the foundation of how we get great work done. Over the past 25 years, our team has developed countless award-winning campaigns, proprietary technologies, and lasting client partnerships that reflect the innovation and collaboration of our people. We're confident in letting our results speak for themselves. We know that high standards can sometimes be mistaken for rigidity, but our processes exist for a reason — to protect quality and ensure consistent results for our clients. Those same standards are what have earned us national recognition and long-standing relationships in our industry. We wish the reviewer well in their next chapter. NDG remains proud of who we are — a team defined by integrity, collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.
