Pros
- Remote work with no travel required - The client I supported was a pleasure to work with
Cons
- FT, salaried employees often receive incorrect pay amount. I'm not sure how this can possibly happen but it does. - Little to no support from HR. No direct phone number and if you can get transferred by main switch board, usual wait time is greater than 60 minutes. Otherwise, you are directed to submit HR questions online. Typical response time to those questions is 6+ weeks if you even get a response at all. - Sr. Management has no experience supporting applications they oversee. - No employee or manager is held accountable. Internal e-mails, IM's, phone calls go unanswered indefinitely and escalations about this behavior go nowhere. - Few colleagues with drive, experience, dedication, etc.. Likely due to lack of accountability. If you're expecting a supportive team to help grow your career and skill set or if your support position will rely on other analysts to help you be successful in your own support, seek employment elsewhere. - Little to no communication within team or from upper management. Your client(s) will know more about your team and positions than you. - Lack of team's skill set and communication will leave you feeling embarrassed for your team, self and company on a consistent basis. - Promotions are rarely given. Although I was offered a promotion during my time here, it came with very little compensation increase and while I considered not accepting, I was specifically told that declining will prevent my candidacy for future promotions.
