Pros

There aren't any benefits to working for NYJTL. Avoid the company at all costs.

Cons

Management does nothing but yell at you to meet unrealistic demands, and leadership refuses to take accountability for their actions. Employees are expected to do so much, but aren't provided with any support at all. The salary is also a lot lower compared to other companies, and doesn't match how heavy employees' workloads are.

Pros

I genuinely enjoyed working with the children. Supporting them and being part of their growth was the only meaningful and rewarding part of the experience, and I was grateful for that opportunity.

Cons

• People in positions of power consistently misused authority, keeping pay unreasonably low while prioritizing their on benefit over staff welfare • Employee effort and talent were treated as if they had little to no value, despite the demands of the role • Compensation was extremely low and felt completely disconnected from the heavy workload, stress, and exhaustion required daily • The structure felt inherently unfair, with lower positions automatically treated as less deserving regardless of skill or contribution • Many staff were overworked and under constant pressure without meaningful recognition or support • The environment was draining due to repeated experiences of rude and dismissive behavior from others • Basic communication with colleagues became difficult and stressful, making normal interaction fell like a burden • Over time, the atmosphere became so uncomfortable that withdrawal felt like the only way to cope and protect mental energy
