Pros

New Compensation Plan heavily rewards the behavior that management wants to see. There’s really only 3 things you need to do: Sell NGIC first, add all attachments and cross sell as many additional products as possible. If you do those 3 things on every phone call then you easily can surpass $100K annual salary and likely more than that. Also offers a path to work from home full time. It’s a perk that is earned thru Quality Scores and Longevity. After 1 year of employment you can work 1 day per week from home, 2 years gets you 2 days, 3 years gets you 3 days and then after 4 years you can work full time from home. Combined with the new compensation plan NGIC gives you a path to earn $100k per year in your pajamas. Company seems to have turned a corner. In the past it felt as if management operated using negative and fear based reinforcement. Basically you better hit your numbers or else you’ll get written up or fired. It wasn’t pleasant. These days while you are definitely still pushed to hit your numbers and will have plenty of conversations with your team lead if you don’t, it’s much less fear based. Team leads will coach you the right way to do things and if you can’t take direction or action, then it’s your own damn fault you only made $50K when you could’ve made twice that. You may not lose your job or get written up but you’re making way less than what you could.

Cons

It’s easy to get burnt out in this position. You take the exact same calls over and over again day after day so sometimes it can wear on you. Overall it’s kind of a small price to pay when you can make a lot of money in this position but sometimes you do get worn out doing the same thing over and over. I suppose for some people view this is a con, the position is WAY different than it was 5 years ago. It will likely continue to change in the next 5 years as well. So get used to things constantly changing and be adaptable. Probably my biggest con is Healthcare. I wish I could sugarcoat it but to be honest it’s just a flat out joke. It’s so bad that I’m planning on joining my wife’s plan thru her employer and paying a spousal surcharge because it’s still cheaper and has better benefits even with the extra fee.

Great work life balance and management is quite supportive.

Migration to new system had some issues. Like not being able to access what I needed for work took close to 2 months. Still got paid though

Pros

Work from home but it’s a con as the only way to stay alive is to work 11 plus hours.

Cons

Poor communication Poor training 10 plus claims per day with a system that is always down. Managers has favorites You do EVERYTHING! It has turnt into a calll center environment as all you do is answer calls that the medical provider line should be answering but no they refuse to train them and hire folks that can read so the PIP reps do it ALL Other departments do not respect PIP reps.
