Pros

paycheck every 2 weeks...thats about it

8 hr day consists of 2 hours of HR work and 6 hours of trying to accommodate managers that have zero people skills, zero sales experience, and zero idea what they should be doing to earn their check. I think of jobs I have had where "other duties as needed" is a reality. Manager didnt staff department properly, you end up on the floor selling...no commission mind you but there you are. Senior staff doesnt understand the function of HR so you get no respect and are volunteered for all the crap side projects that noone else wants to do.

* If you have an amazing team and management the day goes by fast. * Commission. * Easy to rely on foot traffic to meet goals. * If you ask for growth, they set thing ups that align with what you want, you just need to ask.

Cons

* If its slow, its SLOW. * There can be drama, it just depends on the department you're in.

A toxic environment where sales are almost zero because vendors are pulling their product off the shelf because their bills aren’t getting paid. They’re in the middle of coming out of a bankruptcy , if a client does come in, we usually don’t have the product to sell them ,only lines who are partially thriving is fragrance ! The hours are terrible. You get off work at nine and you’re expected to be back at 9:30 AM.
