Pros
In this remote-first role, I had the opportunity to work with some very intelligent team members. It was a great chance to meet creative individuals from other companies, as Neon tends to hire staff from overseas. The work-life balance was quite relaxed.
Cons
This agency primarily handles very small clients, and the loss of even one can lead to a reduction in job handoffs. Typically, U.S. workers are the first to be let go, as overseas workers are paid less. The management style is not exemplary; managers dictate tasks without offering assistance and react poorly to any pushback, regardless of the reason. The clients we work with are not the kind you'd proudly include in your portfolio or resume. Additionally, the company offers no benefits or 401k plan, which was a major concern for me. The turnover rate of employees is notably high and frequent.
