Pros
I have worked for Fortune 500 companies (Newell Rubbermaid/Graco), and brand leaders like FAO Schwarz and Ralph Lauren during a 30+ year career. All interesting and rewarding experiences. But I can say without hesitation that New Pig has been the most positive work environment I have ever encountered. Much of the reason is due to the very high value Pig places on learning and their willingness to try new things through experimentation, learn along the way, and make adjustments. But, while it may sound cliche to some, its the people that make this place a joy to work at every day. Though I've worked in major metro areas (NYC, Philadelphia), I have never worked with sharper, more creative, or more dedicated people anywhere. Oh yeah... and FUN ! Very Fun.
Cons
Tipton Pa is a small town in Central Pa. Sometimes qualified job candidates will pass us by thinking we might be too far off the beaten track to give a good look to. It's a real shame because they're missing out on what could be the most rewarding job experience of their lives. However, when candidates do come to visit us, they are usually astonished at the level of savvy, sophistication, and innovation they encounter here. I live in nearby State College PA, which is a truly awesome place to live near one of the biggest universities in the country. So, maybe this is less of a "con" and more of misconception.
