Pros

Great support from paid service staff. Self made schedule with weekly training. Positive work environment!!

Cons

Success is not garenteed. Where you live is a big factor. Up front costs that are not layed out in hiring process, i.e. parking and travel costs to main office, money spent on appointments. Interruptions to work flow can seriously impact success, make sure there are no Family obligations or major on going events when starting out..

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We take your concerns seriously and would like further information. We encourage you to email us at helpusimprove@newyorklife.com if you would like to share specific details about your experience. Thank you for your feedback. Our management team continuously looks for strong candidates to build their teams and are very selective in their hiring process. Our managers make it a point to have strong relationships with newer and experienced agents. Our managers focus on training our newer agents to help them get off to a strong start and set them up for future success whereas our established agents generally do not require as much guidance. Each office offers classes and has full time development managers. Newer and established agents both have the opportunity to take advantage of these resources to give them the training and support they need. We take your concerns seriously and would like more information.

Pros

Right out of college, I had an opportunity with the New York Life. Being young I felt that I was at a disadvantage but I worked hard, I was relentless, and ambitious. My first full year, I was able to make a six-figure income. It wasn't easy but is medical school easy? Is law school easy? The training and development at New York Life was unmatched. I knew nothing about the Insurance and Financial Services industry until I was given an opportunity at New York Life and the training was exceptional and has led me to the success I have today.

Cons

You have to work hard, be relentless, entrepreneurial, invest a lot of time and effort into the business and above all, expect a higher standard of living and strive towards that goal every single day.
