Needs to learn about laws pertaining to CA Labor, OSHA, DIR, and Fair Employment and Housing. As a sales representative commission must be in a written contract. At the interview I was told I would be paid commission, however I discovered the pay structure after 5 months. The commission percentage is calculated by comparing current six month sales with last year's six month sales: $10k increase=%.5, $20k increase=1%, $30k increase=%2, $40k increase +=4%. Commission is awarded every six months. This company also does not want to establish a written marketing strategy or even want to consider marketing in general. If you are hired as an hourly employee in the Administration Department be sure you are paid if you work overtime. Women who are in the Administration Department must wash and fold the Production Department's uniforms. If you are hired in the Production Department make sure you are provided PPE according to OSHA standards. The Japanese Dressing that is manufactured uses an ingredient and when mixing this ingrrdient into the kettle the steam causes eye and respiratory irritation. If this ingredient comes in contact with the skin it may cause irritation. Make sure you are provided with PPE when using this ingredient! Be prepared that this is an American corporation run by Japanese so expect a morning routine consisting of radio exercises, cleaning, and readings from a binder that will brain wash you into lifetime of servitude to the company. Cleaning can include weed pulling, toilet cleaning, wiping windows and desks. Everyone must participate in the morning routine!
