Pros

It was a great place before Rhines took over.

Cons

Everything. Research Institute? But they do no research. Help farmers and ranchers? But they charge for services that used to be free. Producers can get much better information and help from OSU Extension - for free. It seems to only be an institution to give a few "leaders" a cushy job. No one, even the "leaders", seem to know what the purpose of the Noble Research Institute is. It has no purpose. It has no use. It has no future.

Pros

There’s still a good cause with the organization. There are still some really great people there. Good benefits and pay for the industry.

Cons

Change fatigue is a major con. Constant change. Approval processes took forever, and by the time some things were approved they would get nixed. Seems like they hire outside consultants for everything and hire outside talent, but do nothing to keep the good people and talent they do/did have. There were a wealth of talent and good people that walked out the door with no questions of trying to get people to stay. HR never addressed issues on a team level. With People leaving left and right you would think HR would do a pulse check, but nope, nothing. They do these organizational health questionnaires, some “anonymous” and some not, if they get a bad score they don’t ask the teams why, they just wait and do another one later to see if things are any better now that frustrated people have left. Unrealistic expectations with unrealistic deadlines to projects and things that ultimately may get cut or changed so many times it’s not even the same project.
