Pros
--A love for fashion, a 33% employee discount, it looks good on a resume
Cons
--The management plays favorites --my boss worked until midnight and expected me to stay late quite often --my boss would gossip about other employees in the marketing organization (headquarters) --the VP would play favorites with others on the team --terrible vacation policy, only two weeks with NO sick time off (it comes from vacation time off) --no flexibility for marketing leadership to work from home --no direct feedback given; I would hear it second or third hand even though I asked to hear it directly --awards and personal recognition is banned (employees are not allowed to accept personal awards) --you are told "we are humble" something that you should probably hire for but not need to say (or at least that often) --since management plays favorites, there is a lot of backstabbing and talking negatively --low confidence which creates a spirit of leading from fear of others performing better than you --low morale because you feel judged based on how you look (Remarks were often made about how somebody looks) --the team says they want "change" but when it's presented you're told "that's not how we do things here at Nordstrom"
