Great support from coordinators and clinicians, many incentives/rewards for employees who apply themselves. I've worked with two other home based care agencies and this one exceeds them by far!
Cons
I really can't think of any. There are a good amount of required training's and driving involved as would be expected as a home based aid.
Great experience working with children which can be very rewarding.
The families are often appreciative of what you do.
Some schedule flexibility with the ability to make up hours.
Offer education programs.
I had a great team that I enjoyed working with.
Cons
Little communication and involvement between office staff and direct service workers.
Minimal training is provided, they started to improve this around the same time that I left.
No gas reimbursement or vehicle allowance even though the company requires you to drive.
No benefits or PTO offered to direct service workers.
