Pros

- People are invested/excited about the product - Folks are REALLY good at what they do. Hired for their craft! - Vision for the product longterm is exciting. I am excited to be here and to see where the product can end up

Cons

- Work life balance can be hard if your team is small. My role is very solo in nature, so I find it hard to take time off, especially during busy times. - Tangentially, Notion is very fast paced. You will need to buckle down to get things done and expect to wear multiple hats, especially when deadlines are approaching.

Pros

There’s an actual (free) coffee shop in the office, the workspace is beautiful, and the pay is highly competitive. For the most part, you’re working with really smart colleagues, which is great. Plus, the tool itself is widely used and loved, and it actually makes your day-to-day job a lot easier when it's running smoothly.

Cons

The high turnover here is pretty exhausting, and it feels like people are constantly leaving. Communication from management is also really stressful—there’s almost no heads-up or clear feedback if someone needs to improve, so people and even managers just get blindsided by sudden PIPs or getting let go. Roadmaps change constantly, too. While the All Hands meetings are super inspiring, they usually just spiral into management shifting direction completely and forcing you into another crazy, unrealistic deadline. On top of all that, the tool itself runs pretty slow on the production side, which just adds to the daily frustration.
