Pros

-Remote work. -A few kind individuals on the team trying to do their best. -The company’s stated mission is admirable — but it ends at the surface.

Cons

Nourish sells itself as a wellness-focused company, but in reality, it treats employees as disposable labor. I resigned after a series of unacceptable and harmful experiences that made it impossible to stay. From the beginning, I was misled about my role. I was told I’d only be on phones about 10% of the time — but that changed overnight into being on the phone for 8 straight hours a day. No heads-up, no transition, just a sudden expectation that I’d do full-time call center work under the guise of a “support” role. I’ve worked in SaaS for a decade, and I’ve never experienced burnout like this — emotionally, physically, or mentally. But the final breaking point came when I had to leave work due to a medical emergency involving my mother where I had to rush her to the ER. Doctors later told me that if I had waited even a few minutes longer, she could have died. While I was trying to get her into an Uber and to the hospital, my manager repeatedly messaged me demanding a doctor’s note — despite the fact that I was not the patient and had clearly asked to pause the conversation. In that moment, my integrity was questioned, and I felt completely dehumanized. I was handling a life-or-death crisis and being asked to provide proof that I wasn’t lying. The next day? No follow-up. No check-in. Not even a simple “Is your mom okay?” After I sent my resignation email I didn't get any reply for hours and I was left in on their Slack channel to watch as they announced they’d be hiring new support, casually stating I was “taking time to care for family” — a false and minimizing statement used to spin PR while erasing the reality of what happened to the rest of the company. There was no accountability. No empathy. No reflection. Just cold efficiency and gaslighting. Everything about how this company responded made it clear that their values are just marketing. When I needed even the smallest ounce of humanity from leadership, I got silence and spin. I experienced this all in just 3 months of being with this Org. Nourish broke my trust on every level — from misrepresenting the role, to burning me out, to abandoning me during one of the scariest moments of my life. If you’re considering working here: don’t.

Pros

Flexible scheduling; diverse types of patients; good product development

Cons

DO NOT TRUST LEADERSHIP IN THIS COMPANY! They will entice you with promises of certain benefits and then reduce benefits, like PTO and annual merit raises, once you are an employee. Note that your contract says something to the effect of 'benefits can change at any time.' The hourly wage sounds decent, ≈$52 - $56, but you get paid NOTHING for the LOADS of admin time you spend prepping for sessions, charting, answering patient messages, and managing your schedule with all of the cancellations and no-shows. Meanwhile, corporate staff seem to go on endless destination 'off-sites,' where they party and spend the money you make for the company burning yourself out here. Save yourself the headache and don't fall for their siren song - AVOID WORKING AT NOURISH!!
